First night of auditions are over...

... and I'm just waiting for Lost to finish downloading. So let me take a moment to thank you all for coming out tonight. The response was really overwhelming considering the short notice, and the fact that we're basically asking you to work a weekend for food. We're going to be scheduling callbacks pretty quick here.

The thing that I love about working in film, more than anything, is how collaborative the medium is. We can't complete this project without you, and I want you to know that's why we really wanted to approach this community from the beginning. As a writer, I always wanted to craft this story around the talent that we were able to attract, because I love writing to actors' strengths. Meeting you tonight, you've given me characters and plot lines and... It was a great night.

So thanks. I'm excited to meet more of y'all tomorrow.
