Wow. Overwhelming response to the audition call. Thanks for that. It's just another affirmation that we're onto something with this idea. We've had a lot of response from people who can't necessarily get to the auditions tomorrow night. I know it was short notice, and because Todd and I don't want to miss anybody willing, we want to invite you to submit video auditions as well.
The sides are here, and you can download them. Find somebody to read with you, and give us something to look at. It's probably easiest if you post the video to either YouTube or Vimeo or another of the free video sites and then send us a link at our email: info@thisistheplace.tv
That said, I need to be clear about the specifics. And that means we need to start with a deadline: We need to get into preproduction ASAP, and that means we'll be taking video auditions until Friday night, Saturday morning. By Saturday, we'll be sitting down with our director Brad to make some decisions. Please include the same materials (headshot and CV) and give us your monologue, too. Awesome.
We plan on shooting on two weekends in March, a Friday and Saturday. And if you're submitting from out of town, you'll need to find your way to Salt Lake. That doesn't mean we'll need everybody for all four days, and we'll really try to work around schedules as much as possible. But if the travel or time off is too much, we understand, and we'll all keep in touch here for when we start casting the pilot later on. Okay?
