PERFECT STORM.

I'm sorry that blogging gets light when things pick up for us. I promise to be back soon with more details. In the meantime, let me just say that this weekend deadlines have come due. Both Todd and I are working on more than one project here, and sometimes everything just seems to happen at once. That's a good thing, despite the sleep I miss.

For the record, although we obsess over this TV series more than anything else we've got going on, we're working pro bono on this one, and bills must be paid. So I'm on calls back home to Italy and Norway. Finishing up a few things on that front to ensure that my finances will hold if I take a month off to finish scripting the next bit of our series here. And they will. Things have just been falling together for this project, and I don't expect that to end anytime soon.

I've always been very lucky.

As for the short: That's still on the front burner. We've been through your headshots and auditions. Truth is, now that we've seen the talent that's available, we really want to work as much of that into this short as possible. Again, it's another case of things just falling together seamlessly, and I don't want to waste the opportunity by sticking to a vision that might have been too narrow.

Really, you all just opened up a lot of possibility for us, and we want to take full advantage.

That said, we've launched a little contest on the Facebook group. I need a Mormon joke. Nothing dirty or offensive, just something that plays on Mormon stereotypes. Go read a few off the wall over on FB to get the idea. Winner's invited to the set, more than welcome to be an extra, or just hang around and gorge on our craft table.

I've just spent 10 years on the far side of the Atlantic as the only Mormon I knew, so needless to say I'm behind on the humor.

Back ASAP. I've got a few things to send off by tomorrow night and then I'm all yours again. Cheers.
